Today we enjoyed music performed by Katherine McGrath.  She played Jazz standards, old Speakeasy music, and wonderful songs about friendship and love.  It's been a full week of activities including an Octoberfest party, Sports Day, and a lecture put on by visiting author, Valerie Veanes Upson.  Tomorrow is the Car Show!

Proof from above that Ferris Hills and Clarks Meadows are in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region surrounded by lush greenery. These aerial shots were taken on Sunday, August 27th by Jane Kinyoun's son, Rob and Grandson, Jeff as they flew their sea plane from Keuka Lake to Honeoye Lake. They were headed to the Twisted Rail  to celebrate Jeff turning 21.  Apparently, they had one for Nanny!

Clark Meadows had it's own "opening ceremony" for the 2022 Winter Olympics yesterday.  Lynne, Julie and Claire carried flags representing the USA, China and the Olympic Games. One of our residents even carried the torch!  Decorations included flags from many other countries, as well as a USA Hockey uniform! Terry and Rebecca represented China, Kristen represented the X-Country skiing event, and Lynne, the Ladies figure skating event.

Our music therapist, Katherine sang two beautiful songs and we all enjoyed Olympic videos, followed by a sampling of hors d'oeuvres from various countries.  A great time had by all who attended.  Now......Let the games begin!
