The LAUGHTER!  The FUN!  The JOY!  It all happened this afternoon when we were visited by the Bloomfield Middle School Uplevel Students!  Their Mission? To uplift the community.  Students arrived with their teachers, Keith Roll, 6th grade English, and Debbie Davis, 6th grade special education.  Our residents know how to have fun and when a bunch of middle schoolers show up the place erupts with excitment!  Thank you Bloomfield Middle Schoolers.  Your mission was accomplished today!

Making artificial poppies is a long-standing tradition and today we all pitched in to help the local Veterans Affairs assemble poppies. Close to 400 poppies were assembled and we had a good time sharing stories and remembering our own experiences with the symbolic poppy.

Today at Clark Meadows, Katherine McGrath lead the Music History series with a new topic.  Great Concuctors, such as Marin Alsop, Lorin Verncove Maazel, Herbert von Karajan, Juliette Nadia Boulanger, and Fritz Reiner were featured.  So interesting to learn about the different styles and what all those hand gestures and arm motions mean!

Breast Cancer Awareness at Clark Meadows

Breast Cancer Awareness at Clark Meadows

The familiar pink ribbon stands for prevention, detection, treatment, and increased breast cancer awareness.

For Breast Cancer Awareness month Jody lead several painting classes using the color pink.  We painted the signature pink ribbon on canvas and we painted pumpkins pink!  Residents and staff supported this important cause.  Our front foyer was decorated with our pink creations.
