KristenMeyer / Wednesday, August 31, 2022 / Categories: Ferris Hills Events, Senior Living Community Events, Ferris Hills Blog A Scenic Excursion to The Finger Lakes Boating Museum Antique Boats, a beautiful day, South end of Keuka Lake, and Ice Cream!! I caught this crew as they returned from an excursion to the Finger Lakes Boating Museum on the South end of Keuka Lake just outside of the village of Hammondsport. As they got off the bus I heard "so interesting" and "we learned so much" and "what a beautiful scenic tour!" Patti Schultz, tour guide and bus driver, said to me, "you have got to go!" The museum is filled with beautiful antique boats and murals. The collection of boats are all tied to the Finger Lakes Region and it's located in the historic Taylor Wine Company's main building. After spending time in the museum, the crew boarded the bus for a drive back by way of Mitchellsville and Prattsburgh (Patti is great at finding the most beautiful routes on our excursions). They stopped in Naples for ice cream/lunch at Lynny Lou's. Then, they continued the scenic drive home going on the High Road on 64, then State Route 21, and home to Ferris Hills. A great day spent in the Finger Lakes Region!
