Personal Care Assistant Day! Personal Care Assistant Day! These highly skilled, compassionate, reliable PCA's are the heart of Clark Meadows! KristenMeyer / Thursday, June 13, 2024 0 6171 Today we celebrated those who serve our residents with the greatest of care. Our team of PCA's are the very best! Several of our residents volunteered to serve ice cream to those who serve us. This time, the PCA's were served and we served them first! We honored them with special testimonials written by the residents along with artwork, and poetry. Beth presented them each with certificates and they even paused to help a resident down the stairs making the moment even more special. How fortunate we are to have this amazing team of care givers! Artist, Benji Carr, Visits Clark Meadows Artist, Benji Carr, Visits Clark Meadows "The Ghost of Roseland" is coming to Canandaigua Lake! KristenMeyer / Tuesday, May 21, 2024 0 6219 Local artist, Benji Carr, was on site to show his latest project to our residents. The Ghost of Roseland sculpture is his latest commissioned piece. He brought the model to show us how it will look and explained that there will be moving parts. What a thrill for our staff and residents to get this up close and personal presentation of such an exciting project. The discussion brought out a lot of reminiscing about Roseland Park. So many of our residents grew up in Canandaigua and Rosleand Park was a big part of their youth. The art reflects the history of our town and the importance that the park played. Pat Rini Rohrer, gallery owner and Art Tuppen, Canandaigua local, were two of our enthusiastic audience participants. They are photographed here with the artist. Read more

Lynne Standish / Saturday, May 2, 2020 / Categories: Clark Meadows Events May Day! Sunshine! Glorious sunshine! Together, staff and residents celebrated May Day (May 1st) with fanfare. The weather forecast was for rain, but to our delight the sun came out and the temperature rose! Our Maypole ribbons wafted in the wind as we gathered folks to sit along the sidewalk (6 feet apart). Some were able to peer out their windows. The joy of a Spring day was felt by all. The traditions of May Day date back to ancient times. Early May Day celebrations began with the Floralia, a festival honoring Flora, the Roman Goddess of flowers. Our Maypole dance brought forth memories from our residents of a bygone era of Spring celebrations of their youth. May baskets were also delivered to celebrate the day. We are so happy to welcome the month of May! Previous Article "The Marathon Man" Next Article Spirits are still high! Print 8256
