It was a beautiful evening, August 11th, for FunDay Friday as residents of Ferris Hills and Clark Meadows enjoyed a solo serenade by one of the Elderly Brothers, and Ferris Resident, Gabe Cinquegrana.  The music, all familiar to the 35+ people in attendance, lasted for 1 hour and brought back many memories.

One of our residents, Gabe, is in the band!  Gabe and his wife, Deb, moved into Ferris Hill this year and they hit the ground running.  Both Deb and Gabe were already active volunteers in the community working tirelessly at the VA, Kiwanis, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and more.  Here, we are all enjoying the musical performane with lunch as an added treat.

For the win... Chefs, Tony Cafarelli and Jamison Leigh, served up Porchetta with salsa verde and pickled red onion.  Our chefs worked hard preparing and presenting their creation.  They enjoyed the fun competition with other respected chefs in the community.   The foodies came out to enjoy this amazing event hosted by Canandaigua Kiwanis.  Canandaigua Kiwanis is an active group of dedicated volunteers working tirelessly throughout the year raising money to support children.

Winter Olympics

Winter Olympics

Our opening ceremony for the winter Olympics was a huge success and certainly a team effort.

We were honored to welcome Senator Pam Helming and coach Pamela Warren who both gave informative presentations regarding the local Olympians competing this year.  Our very own Al Johnson wowed the audience with facts and photos of the host country, South Korea, and brought everyone up to speed with the sporting events.  Katherine Duffy blessed the Olympians with a personalized prayer and CEO Michael Stapleton shared a few words on what the Olympics mean to him.

Our taste buds were taken on a world tour with an array of foods from South Korea, Germany and Japan, just to mention a few.

We thank our residents for participating in the flag procession and for the children who came to sing.

GO TEAM U.S.A!
