Claire Watson / Tuesday, May 29, 2018 / Categories: Ferris Hills Events, Clark Meadows Events, Senior Living Community Events, Ferris Hills Blog Geneva Music Festival - Classics and Romantics Ferris Hills welcomed Violinist Geoffrey Herd, cellist Max Geissler and pianist Cameron Fuhrman to perform "Classics and Romantics". Mr. Herd joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in August 2016. He is also a doctoral candidate at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music where he studied with Paul Kantor. Previous teachers included Ani Kavafian, William Preucil and David Updegraff. Praised for his “superb artistry and beautiful sound,” cellist Max Geissler is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Rice University under the tutelage of Desmond Hoebig. Mentors have included Catherine Lehr-Ramos of the Saint Louis Symphony and Michel Strauss during a semester of study abroad in Paris. Cameron Fuhrman is a pianist, teacher, and musical academic. Born in rural Central Oregon, she began taking piano lessons at age five and teaching them at age eleven. She is currently pursuing a DMA in Piano Performance and Literature under the tutelage of Natalya Antonova at the Eastman School of Music.
